#CITITRENDS S04 EP 3: The Accra Digital Centre; The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Show Promos-36Building a sustainable technology echo system is not a walk in the park.

A lot of factors come into play to make it work and technology hubs are a key cog in the wheel.

There are number of privately run hubs across the country but how is government getting involved?

The Accra Digital Centre is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) Centre, under the Ministry of Communications with the vision to help position Ghana as an ICT hub of the sub region.

After about 4 months of operation, how is the location doing? What are the plans to scale and how will the average tech startup benefit from it?

Eric Ofosu Nkansah is the Acting Managing Director of Accra Digital Centre and he was in the studio with David Ofori  who is the Operations Manager.

Farida Shaibu shares stories about GhanaPost GPS, WhatsApp Business and more in the Trending Segment of the show.

Dr Yaw Yirenkyi joined the discussion with some unique perspectives on robotics education and training in Ghana. He has a few concerns especially with integration into the current curricular.

Farida Shaibu and Jefferey Owurako Sarping were on hand with the Trending and Apps segments of the show.

Total fun and such a great listen.
